Meet Susan O’Toole, MD

Susan O’Toole, MD is licensed in obstetrics and gynecology and offers various women’s health services at Collingwood Vitality Laser Clinic and Collingwood Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates. Dr. O’Toole has practiced in Collingwood, Ontario since 2008. She’s especially interested in laparoscopy, operative hysteroscopy and colposcopy and is passionate about the latest treatments for menopause symptoms, including the innovative MonaLisa Touch laser therapy.

As a licensed OB/GYN, Dr. O’Toole draws from her solid foundation of education, professional training and global experience in the field.

She received her undergraduate degree in biochemistry from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Next, she earned her medical degree and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. In 2004, Dr. O’Toole earned a fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

In the years that followed, Dr. O’Toole expanded her skill set and her horizons. Between stints of locum (temporary) services in her home province, she found new perspectives while traveling the world for four years, visiting everywhere from Africa and South America to Asia. Her adventures abroad inspired her to serve half a year in Sri Lanka with Doctors Without Borders on their mission.

Finally ready to return to her homeland, Dr. O’Toole returned to her roots in Collingwood, less than an hour from where she grew up in Barrie, Ontario. At Collingwood Vitality Laser Clinic, she shares her OB/GYN expertise with women and empowers them to make choices that improve their quality of life.

Meet Jennifer Tomas, MD

Jennifer Tomas, MD is a licensed Obstetrician/ Gynecologist who has provided general obstetrical and women’s health care at Collingwood Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates since 2013. She is excited to be a founding director of the Collingwood Vitality Laser Clinic to expand the services she can offer the women of the South Georgian Bay region.

Born and raised in Markham, Ontario, Dr. Tomas received both an undergraduate degree in health sciences and a medical degree at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Next, she moved to London, Ontario to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Western Ontario. She earned her license and a fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2013.

Dr. Tomas’s special interests include everything from contraception, pelvic pain and abnormal uterine bleeding to postmenopausal concerns. Her expertise includes colposcopy treatments for precancerous cervical, vaginal and vulvar conditions. She has pursued extra training with Dr. O’Toole to be able to offer minimally invasive surgical treatments including laparoscopic hysterectomy. Dr. Tomas also specializes in vaginal laser therapy - a cutting-edge treatment that helps treat the uncomfortable vaginal symptoms that come with age, menopause or post-childbirth.

Dr. Tomas is excited to use laser therapy to further her commitment to compassionate, quality women’s health care.
